About Me

Hello! I am a deaf, autistic songwriter based in Herne Bay, England.

I studied music at Canterbury Christ Church University as a singer-songwriter but I had to stop performing after losing a lot of my hearing to Meniere’s disease beginning in 2012. Since then I have concentrated on lyric writing and collaboration with composer Emily Peasgood on projects including the 2019 Ivor Novello nominated song cycle “Never Again”.

With the support of creative friends, my confidence is returning and I am excited about writing music again. I still feel like a fraud when I think of myself as an artist, but a good friend taught me to hack my imposter syndrome by swapping it for supervillain syndrome. Now, instead of worrying that I might be found out, I think, “Ah, ha ha ha, look what I’m getting away with!”

I’m making art and I’m getting away with it. I wish the same for you.
